Applications in prescribed forms obtainable from Sub-Divisional Welfare
Offices and downloadable from the official website- ttwd.assam.gov.in are invited
from the students belonging to tea tribes community for award of “Simon Sing
Horo Special Scholarship (Post-Matric Scholarship)” for the year 2019-20.
Candidates passing out Class-X and Class-XII examinations in 2019 under Board of
Secondary Education, Assam/ Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or
equivalent examinations recognized by Govt. of Assam who have enrolled in Class-
XI and Degree Part-I will be given an incentive of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten
thousand) only per student. Class-XI and Degree Part-I students who have enrolled
after passing out Class-X and XII examinations shall be eligible for normal Post-
Matric scholarship for Class-XI and Degree Part-I in addition to Simon Sing Horo
Special Scholarship Scheme. Filled in forms are to be submitted to the Heads of
the Institutions and the Heads of the Institutions in turn will submit the same to
the Sub-Divisional Welfare Offices and Deputy Commissioners in case of hill
districts to reach the undersigned by 03-02-2020. Photostatted copy of application
form with original signature of the applicant and head of institution may also be
accepted.
The Sub-Divisional Beneficiary Selection Committees shall send the
recommended applications as per guideline above to the Directorate of Tea
Tribes Welfare, Assam in M.S. Word/Ex-Cell Format by 10-02-2020.
